Welcome to the Bury HF Walking Club Website Aims of the Club: To provide healthy enjoyment of leisure and to encourage love of open air and promote social friendship. All members are asked to support events and walks arranged for their enjoyment.The Club offers walks on 4 different days with 6 groups covering a range of distances, ascents and for different abilities, ranging from easier ambles of 3-4 miles up to strenuous 15 mile hikes.Anyone is welcome to participate, within their capabilities, for a trial of 1 or 2 walks after which we would ask you to pay a membership fee of £5.00. Car passengers make a contribution towards travel and this should be agreed between the driver and passenger(s). We cannot guarantee a lift but we will do our best.An outline of the walks available is described on the Walking Groups page.Unfortunately we are unable to accept dogs on any of the walks except Guide dogs. We ask all those wishing to take part to read through the Constitution & Rules of the Club, and the Code Of Conduct for Walks.If you would like more information or to join one of the walking groups for a trial, please feel free to use the contact formPlease complete all the boxes and tell us how you would like to be contacted ie telephone or E-mail?

The Bury HF Walking Club has recently joined The Walking Partnership. This new partnership, supported by Ramblers Worldwide Holidays, provides direct financial contributions to local walking groups.Remember when you book, to quote the name of our group, and we will then receive a contribution of £10 per person on UK holidays, £20 per person on short haul holidays, and £30 per person on long haul holidays. This extra funding could really make a difference to us!Members can see further details by logging into the 'Members Only' section & selecting the 'information & social' page.More information is also available on the "The Walking Partnership" website at: www.thewalkingpartnership.org.uk.
